  1. For now I really don’t even try to stop smoking …. but in the near future… who knows?

  2. I do try to stop smoking.
I did it once. I`ll do it again.

  3. How is smoking “a cancer to economy?”

  4. Far away from the idea of smoking(=500 degrees celsius) tobacco, you have that very old idea: vaporize (=180 degrees celsius tops) non toxic herbs!
And among all the king herbs on eath, how come money makers choose one plant the highest toxicity among all?? the lethal dose of nicotine is the amount of nicotine contained in one box of twenty indeathstial cigarettes!!

So let’ s be clear: do not vaporize poison instead of smoking poison! just pick somethig else healthy, you know, and moderation will follow

  5. empty words

  6. wtf, that had NOTHING to do with the economy!

  7. why do these anti smoking agencies seem to think people dont know what smoking does to them. I was well aware of what the effects of smoking were when i started and I’m sure I know better than any non smoker of what the effects of smoking are on my body.

fact is, its hard to quit fuckers, smokers dont need these idiotic commercials to tell us what we already know. We also dont need you trying to ostracize us for second hand smoke, I dont blow smoke in other people’s faces I only smoke outside. heres another fact that you might like either, where do you think all that tax money we pay for the cigarettes goes to?

  8. Smoking is a cancer to the economy? You’ve got to be kidding me. If smoking is bad for the economy, then why are tobacco taxes so high? As more and more people quit smoking, the governments lose more and more tax revenue, so the raise the tobacco taxes even more. That’s why smoking hasn’t been made illegal; the governments can’t afford to lose the tax revenue. Until something else is taxed as heavily and consumed to the same extent as tobacco, it will never be illegal. (Sidenote: Alcohol falls into the same category, so alcohol alone can’t make up the lost revenue). I’m a smoker, and not stupid. Calling smokers stupid for smoking is just like calling mountain climbers stupid because what they do is hazardous to their health. It’s something that I choose to do, regardless of the health risks. It’s something that I will continue to do until I no longer wish to, or the activity becomes illegal. And to those who say that it’s hard to quit, and that it’s not totally under your control, I say that you’re full of it. Stopping any habit is difficult, but the fact that people quit smoking all the time (cold turkey) means that it’s not as hard as people think. If you want to quit, then quit. If you can’t, then you don’t want to quit. I’m really getting sick of all the anti-smoking campaigning. In my 25 years of life, I’ve never met anyone who didn’t know that smoking was bad for you. The government needs to stop cramming this anti-smoking crap down our throats while still selling cigarettes. It’s not private industry that sells tobacco, it’s the government. And for those of you who don’t like me standing beside you at the bus stop while I have a cigarette, shut up and go inside. I’m excercising a legal right that I have, using a product that my government legally sold me. If you have a problem with that, then take it up with your government, not me.

Sorry about the long rant, I didn’t plan on it being this long when I started typing.

Guys, thank you for posting your opinions about this.

This opinion about smoking is a cancer to economy belongs to other people.

I did not post the image because it seems that it’s a imitation of other ad print.

    adsoftheworld.com/media/print/vesta_chimney

The slogan of this ad print is:

    Energy conservation solutions
    call 03-2093 0033 for details

Now, I’m sorry for this misunderstanding.

I believe now you have the whole picture about that quote.

  10. Smoking has subsidised the economy for years, here in england the taxes account for 90% of the cost. Cancer is a genetic diease if you have the wrong genes you will suffer from smoke if not you won’t. Same with heart disease. I have known more fit people under 40 die young than people who don’t exercise, do smoke and do drink, why don’t they ban excessive exercise

    Alan

  11. “where do you think all that tax money we pay for the cigarettes goes to?”

It pays about 80% of the health care costs related to treating smoking-related illnesses. So yes, even with the taxes, smoking costs us money. The sad thing is, once enough people have wised up and quit smoking, we lose that tax money, but years down the road they will still be getting lung cancer and costing money.

  12. Whats really funny about this ’smoking is bad for us’ Bullcrap

People where smoking way back when Aztecs roamed the earth, Its History over thousands of years old, They smoked without so called Rizzla’s etc and there health was fine, My grandad smoked since he was 15, yet he died when he was 89 ‘OF NON SMOKING CONDITIONS’

SOOO how da feck can it all of a sudden be a ‘death risk’ as oppossed to last year and the year before and thousands before that??

The Government as ran out of ideas to ’stealth tax’ us , so banning smoking in public places etc will just increase there revenue whenever someone smokes inside £50 fine, thats more tax than buying 500 cigerettes

AND ANSWER THIS!?! Where is the proof, A non smoker as died because he/she inhaled ’second hand’ fumes?

  13. Nick, you can not compare Aztecs with us. It`s then and now.
Then you did not know about cancer and second smoking.
    Now we do.

Many of us call this “evolution or progress”. Because of technology and knowledge evolving.

So you can not compare this. Many of us are dying because of smoking. And that`s a fact, not a tale.

Some people do care more about their health then comparable history.

And yes government is speculating everything, but I think we should care about heath first.
