Unite against human trafficking

The Journey is an art & action based campaign to highlight the issue of sex trafficking and it was initiated by Sam Roddick, Emma Thompson and Helen Bamber.

Sam Roddick is the creative force behind the Art Protest parades and is involved in the conceptualization of the Journey Installation from the beginning.

Emma Thompson is a good friend of Helen Bamber and she is Emma’s mentor for about 20 years.

Helen Bamber has a foundation called Helen Bamber Foundation, a UK-based human rights organization that is trying to support and rehabilitate survivors of gross human rights violations.

Below is the anti-sex trafficking film called “I am Elena”, with Emma Thompson as part of the involvement with The Journey. The scenario was written and shot for Body Shop in less than 10 hours.

At least 4,000 women and girls are trafficked into the UK each year and forced into prostitution.

Save the Children from poverty

“Save the Children” started an advertising campaign (2006) based on the real games played by those children from war and famine places. This foundation made a booklet illustrating differences between these games played by these vulnerable children and the real life issues.

“The game children play… Hide and seek, Treasure hunt, Mummies & daddies, Doctors & nurses, Toy soldiers.”

You can make a difference by donating at this foundation, saving some innocent lives.
